in training mode, I'd like to see aside of best lap a colum "most turns in %s minutes" where %s whould be an option
being fast in a turn is a thing but for races training, constancy of time in multiples turns is a good indicator
what do you think..
I think comparing the mean time with the best lap time is enough. If your mean time is near your best time then you are a fast and/or consistent racer.
I'm working on a new setting to allow racers to define a "target" lap time. Every lap under that time will generate a special ring.
I'm curious about your suggestion but I can't understand the "Most turn in X minutes" concept. Additional tips for understanding?
I see that like this
races are runs to max of laps in a defined time, so, training on 5 or 7 minutes with the result of laps done is a way to train for races and is different from trying to get the best lap
about mean time, should be also ok if was on a defined time but when we have training sessions, training is launched for all racers, we run a few turns, then came to pit to set the car, get back, mean time is affected by these stops
What about configuring the practice time?. If you set your practice time to, for example, 5min and set the practice mode to staggered start then every racer will have 5min session.
At the end of every session the lasp/time/best time is read out. And you will start a new on on the next pass. The mean is computed on every session.
Of course, if you want to get the very best time despite of the session then a mean is not usefull but the idea of the "target" time could help.
I'm sorry but I cannot understand the "Most turn in X minutes" concept. Please give me some example of how it should work and how the computation should be done.
"Most turn in X minutes" concept
you add a right clic menu on driver line with "start minuted session"
it ask for how much time, user set for example "5 minutes" under, a launch button
chronometer is launched by first detection on counter system
result is actual "best time" and "mean time" but also "35 turns in 5:04:075"
this system is fully independant of other racers traning session and individual
in fact, a "session best time" should be better, it would keep the whole training session best time apart
